Tubular Motors from a Dedicated Plant
In Nanyang’s company profile, one of the three plants is dedicated to tubular motors — the in-tube drives that power roller shutters, blinds and awnings. This line is specified per project: this page covers the applications and the data a quotation is built from.
- Model data
- Not published in the company catalogue
- Specification
- Confirmed per project, in writing
- Drawings / samples
- Availability confirmed per enquiry, in writing
This line is assessed project by project. Send your equipment drawings and duty data; the reply assesses feasibility first, and any specification, drawings, samples or pricing follow that assessment, in writing.
01 Applications
Where tubular motors earn their place
A tubular motor disappears into the tube it drives. That single packaging decision shapes whole product categories: roller shutters that need no external motor box, interior blinds and projection screens with the drive hidden in the headrail tube, awnings and roller doors where weather sealing matters. Buyers of tubular motors are therefore specifying a system — tube diameter, torque against the shutter’s weight and area, duty cycle, limit setting (mechanical or electronic), and control (wired switch, radio receiver, or bus) — and the motor is quoted against that system, not off a shelf.
That is also why this page carries no model table. The company documents its tubular line at plant level in its profile; send your system specification with the enquiry, and the reply assesses feasibility first, stating what model-level data can be supported and what further inputs it needs. Publishing a generic torque table here would be decoration, not information — and this site’s rule is that numbers come from the company’s documents or not at all.
02 Specifying
The tubular checklist
- Application: roller shutter, blind, screen, awning or door — with approximate size and weight of the driven element
- Tube: the tube’s inner diameter and profile the motor must fit, and the crown/drive adapter arrangement you use
- Torque & speed: required lifting capacity and target travel speed, or the shutter data to calculate from
- Limits & control: mechanical or electronic limits; switch, remote or smart control expectations
- Electrical: market voltage and frequency (the company’s catalogue motors are wound for 220–240 V or 110 V, 50/60 Hz)
- Programme: quantities per shipment and per year, and any certification your market requires of the finished product
Nanyang’s profile describes a company integrating R&D, production and sales since 1992, and describes tubular motors as one of its three plant lines, alongside a washing machine motor plant and an enameled wire plant. The profile does not state when each plant was established, and this page draws no founding sequence or order of introduction from it — the line is presented as the profile presents it, and its data is confirmed per project.
03 Questions
Tubular motors, answered plainly
Can I see a torque table before enquiring?
Torque data depends on your tube and shutter specification, because the right motor depends on both. Send the checklist above; the reply assesses feasibility against that specification before any model data is confirmed.
Do you offer radio-controlled versions?
State the control type your product uses today, with your system specification. Whether that control can be provided for your system is assessed per project, and the reply after that assessment states whether it is feasible or not feasible — it does not assume a confirmed control or an alternative in advance.
What quantities does a tubular programme start at?
The historical listings for the nine catalogue models stated an MOQ of 1,000 pieces — that is the listings’ historical term, not a current commitment for any line. Tubular programmes are assessed per project: state your expected volumes, and whether a programme can be taken on at those volumes — and what entry quantity would apply if it can — is replied to after that assessment. No entry quantity is preset here.
Bring the shutter data
Tube, weight, control type and market — four facts start a tubular motor enquiry. The reply assesses feasibility before any specification is confirmed.
